Roast & Deliver Hog Roast
Don’t be tempted to hire a DIY spit roaster unless you have previous roasting experience – especially with hauling a very heavy pig onto a pole! This hog roasting method is not worth the risk and just does not give the best results. Roast it for too long and it’s burnt but worse, too little and it’s under cooked. If you don’t mount it on the rotisserie properly – at worst it could fall off.
We’ll do the roasting on our premises and deliver your hog to you ready to eat!
We roast our hogs using a state of the art convective cooking method which achieves even cooking temperatures for a longer period of time whilst retaining the food’s natural juices. In fact we roast up to the temperature where the connective tissues break down resulting in our pork being so tender that we don’t carve it – we ‘pull’ it! Oh yes, and there’s plenty of crackling as you can see
For examople:
A 38kg pig would be suitable to feed up to 100 with reasonable sized portions
A 46kg pig would be suitable to feed up to 150 with reasonable sized portions
P. O. A. Weights are approximate. Larger and smaller weights available

Our unique ‘Baron of Beef’ Roast
The term ‘Baron of Beef’ is alleged to have originated when Henry VIII was served a spit roasted double sirloin of beef and was so taken by the roast that he dubbed it ‘Sir Loin, the Baron of Beef’. Whether this is true or not, this term in Britain has come to refer to a major mass of beef.
We are pioneers in roasting huge joints of beef. This is our take on ‘Baron of Beef’ roasts and they can be anything from a 10lb sirloin to a 200lb hind quarter – a real Henry Vlll feast!”
The rare/native breeds that we supply produce the most fantastic flavoured beef. They are all rare or traditional breeds, with the majority being Longhorn, Shorthorn, Belted Galloway, Aberdeen Angus, Hereford and Red Poll, although we can also supply Dexter and Wagyu. Our beef is dry aged in a purpose built ageing room with Himalayan rock salt, giving excellent texture and depth of flavour.
Your Baron of Beef Roast, would depend upon the number of guests that require feeding and your budget. We can supply a variety of cuts and sizes for any event or occasion, from a small house party to a large wedding or corporate event. Depending upon the number of your guests and your budget, we will recommend from the best cut for you from 10lbs to 200lbs.
P.O.A.
Our Baron of Beef usually includes
Uniformed professionals to carve and serve at the time to suit you
Fresh soft large round baps
Horseradish sauce and English mustard
Homemade red wine gravy
Disposable plates and napkins

However we are quite happy to tailor make your Baron of Beef and any accompaniments to your own requirements.
“Being beef farmers, and having many farming friends attending who know their beef, it had to be good and plenty of it. All I can say is that it was fantastic. You’d cooked it perfectly, there was more than enough, and many of our guests have come back to us saying it was ‘The best beef they’d ever eaten!’ Some went up three times for another plate full! All that you supplied including the salads and yummy puddings, your service and your team were excellent and we cannot recommend the professional The Hog and Ox Roast Company enough.” Rose and Robert, Solihull, West Midlands,
